Area Manager – Agricultural Operations

Location: Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire (or nearby)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 40–50 hours per week (subject to demand)
Are you passionate about high standards, team development, and operational excellence in agriculture? A well-established and respected organisation is looking for a dedicated Area Manager to oversee and drive performance across multiple sites.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Conducting site inspections and managing follow-up actions via our online auditing system
Overseeing team performance and welfare, ensuring consistent delivery
Being mobile and responsive to operational challenges as they arise
Presenting monthly KPI reports to the Agricultural Director
Promoting and enforcing health and safety standards, addressing breaches swiftly
Supporting compliance with company policies and procedures on site
Delivering on-site training and competency assessments
Monitoring customer reports and implementing action plans to maintain high standards
Supporting the development of site procedures and best practices
Managing day-to-day operational issues, investigations, and resolutions
Contributing to a positive, customer-focused culture
Supporting both internal and customer audits with timely actions
Staying up to date with health & safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity policies
Managing subcontracted teams to ensure operational standards are met
Assisting with manual labour and forklift operations when required

Who We’re Looking For:
You’re someone with strong communication skills, confident in delivering training, experienced in managing people and resolving conflicts, and capable of working independently to solve problems.
Essential:
Agricultural industry experience
Full UK driving licence
Flexibility to work non-standard hours
Based in or near Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, or Warwickshire
Preferred:
Experience as a Manager, Team Leader, or Supervisor

Monthly KPI reports presented to the Agricultural Director
