General Operative

Job Description: Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive General Operative to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that final products meet quality standards, comply with legal and customer specifications, and adhere to food safety, HACCP, animal welfare, environmental, and health and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain product quality and ensure compliance with customer and legal requirements.

• Adhere to company policies on food safety, HACCP, health and safety, and environmental procedures.

• Follow hygiene standards for personal, site, and welfare areas.

• Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including production targets and quality standards.

• Ensure accurate batch control, labeling, and compliance with food safety regulations.

• Complete production documentation clearly and promptly.

• Maintain cleanliness in the work area and handle waste disposal effectively.

• Report machinery defects or faults to the supervisor.

• Participate in training to meet company and legislative requirements.

• Ensure compliance with animal welfare and bio-security standards in primary production.

• Provide support across different production areas when required and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

  
  

Ideal Candidate:

• Has Food Safety Level 2 (including HACCP awareness) or is willing to complete necessary training.

• Demonstrates a strong commitment to quality, food safety, and team collaboration.

• Can work efficiently to meet production and quality standards.
