Job Description:Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role requires a strong background in both mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various equipment. The successful candidate will be proactive in solving problems, committed to high-quality standards, and focused on ensuring machinery operates efficiently. Excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential to ensure smooth operations and minimal disruptions during maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including logic controllers and interpreting schematics.
Conduct mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks, including welding and fabrication.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and completed repairs.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior maintenance staff as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime during maintenance activities.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests, providing excellent customer service.
Adhere to food safety, health, and safety regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a food manufacturing environment or similar role.
Strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including logic controllers.
Welding and fabrication experience (minimum of 2 years).
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities.
Commitment to maintaining high work quality and safety standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £14.00–£14.50 per hour
Expected Hours: 40–50 hours per week

Education and Certification Requirements:
