Production Supervisor/Manager – Cured & Processed Meats

Location: Essex

Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: 47 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7 AM - 5 PM, with occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekend work)

About the Role

As Production Supervisor/Manager, you will oversee the manufacturing of premium cured meats and charcuterie, ensuring the highest production and quality standards. This hands-on role involves:

Production Planning – Scheduling weekly production, selecting the right cuts, and ensuring stock availability.
Machinery Operation – Using vacuum fillers, mincers, and meat mixers to prepare and process products.
Food Safety and Hygiene – Maintaining strict compliance with HACCP protocols, ensuring machinery is clean and operational.
Technical Expertise – Using fermentation cultures, curing agents, and preservatives to craft exceptional products.
Quality Control – Ensuring the presentation and flavour of products meet premium standards.

What We Are Looking For

Experience in processed meat production, from raw material selection to packaging.
Strong technical knowledge of curing, fermentation, and food safety standards (HACCP Level 3 required).
Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills to optimise efficiency.
Commitment to high production standards and customer satisfaction.
A team player who can collaborate and lead by example.
